Station! and Mattroid are attending the Salt Lake Comic Con and because Matt has press access from his newspaper, he’s going to be collecting some fun little audio clips that we will run here as part of a new segment called “Sci-Fi Shorts” …
We’ll be doing a lot more of these shorts in the future to tide you over between our regular scheduled programming and they will span the gamut of Science Fiction coverage, but this week it is all about Salt Lake Comic Con.
This time, Liz’s chat with Patric Reynolds, comic book artist for Dark Horse Comics, who has worked on titles like Joe Golem, Let Me In, Serenity, Abe Sapien and Aliens.
Do Mattroid and Station! have different recording devices? I noticed that the audio quality on Stations!’s was a lot better and clearer than Matt’s. The background noise on the Scott Wilson interview made it pretty difficult to understand what he was saying. Despite hearing there were people talking in the background on this interview, I heard everything Station! and Patric Reynolds said clearly.
Hey Sal,
Station! was fortunate enough to interview Patrick in a nice location away from too much ambient noise. That, and the overall excellence of the interview, made this one the best of the group.
I, however, was in a packed interview gallery and the quality suffered. Other interviewers were inconsiderate and the overall press noise in the background made it difficult to capture a clean recording. Station! and I used the same devices, but the circumstances favored her.
Lesson learned.
Really enjoying these Sci Fi Shorts. Thanks for bringing them to us.
