THE SCI-FI PODCAST EP 35: The Gang Goes to SLC Comic-Con FanX 17

Welcome to The SciFi Podcasta wretched hive of scum and villainy a bi-weekly podcast focused on in-depth discussion of all things Science Fiction. The SciFi Podcast features four hosts—Mattroid, Brain, Solo, and Station!—and frequent guests. Each episode we look at a science fiction theme or franchise and take the discussion where no show has gone before.

In lieu of a standard TSFP episode, Mattroid, Solo, Brain, and Spacewolf attend Salt Lake City’s Comic-Con FanX 2017. Station, having recently given birth, was unable to join in the fun and was sorely missed. Various discussions, interviews, and insights into the bizarre world of pop-culture conventions are discussed by the hosts during this episode, and Solo shows off his goofy side more than once, which alone is worth the price of admission. Have you ever been to a Comic-Con or similar kind of event? Let us know all about it!

The Sci-Fi Podcast will return to form soon with episode 35.

  1. I think we lost a lot of our listeners or something…

This is one of my favorite episodes we have done.

  2. Actually, we are tending up still. More each month. But I’m sure we’ve lost a lot of good listeners because of my ooorly timed releases.

And yes, YO Joe! is stupid handsome. And nice. And cool. I want to be his best friend.

      • Baby is a huge part of it. Solo has been finishing his schooling and has been working on his final project and finals.

That’s mostly why. Lame, totally. True, totally.

Doing what I can, Dino! I did pick-up some nice new recording gear that will be implemented into future recordings in an effort to bolster the quality of the production. Wish us luck!

Hope you and yours are well. Your kid is what, twenty now? Or one? Or something?

        • The younger is “not quite 2.” (Does Ryan listen to TSFP?)

We’re doing well, though. I’m just champing at the bit for the new MPN content. Given the chemistry you had with Ryan and Andy on the latest MPW, it should be fun stuff.

          • Ha ha ha, thanks.

Just wait. The MPN stuff (which has ONLY been delayed due to the emergent surgery and recovery of our notorious founder, one Jason Horror Weekly. He’s almost better; we’re almost live. And let me tell you, it’s the most fun I’ve ever had on a podcast episode in more than a decade. Sooooo irreverent.

It’ll be out soon. I appreciate your patience.
