  1. Station disliked these movies?!

Well, the first one was the best. I wasn’t aware of the intermediate sequels before the 4th and watching it I really obviously missed a lot and was confused for much of it. This one looks… interesting. I really like the prospect of the advanced tech being this overwhelming force.

  3. Just to clarify;when I say Reggie represents “innocence” I really mean the innocence of adolescence. That he is Mike’s inner child… In point of fact, I don’t think “Reggie” exists at all and that he is a delusion of a fractured mind. The Tall Man doesn’t exist, Jody is a memory, and we are seeing things from Mike’s mind completely. I think this is more true with Mike pulling away and disassociating himself more and more. I don’t think Mike was visiting Reggie, either… I don’t think anyone was there at all. Just Mike… Alone and deluded and living in his own head and dying.

  4. A heads up to anyone interested in looking back at the Phantasm series, the streaming service, Shudder, just added Phantasm (Remastered version), Phantasm 3, and Phantasm 4 to their service on November 1st.

If you’ve never had a subscription to Shudder, you’re able to score a free one week trial. Considering the fact that Phantasm 4 was such a difficult film to find legally as recent as when HMP/TSFP did their coverage of the series, it’s a pretty nice coup to find it so easily now.
