In this special episode, Station! and Mattroid are joined by SpaceWolf to recount a live hyper-reality experience at the Utah-based headquarters of The Void, where Mattroid, Solo and SpaceWolf were joined by friends of the show (and previous guest) Jonasty and (Movie Stream Cast’s) Rach Hell for a round of Ghostbusters Dimension, which is now open to the general public at Madame Tussaud‘s in New York City.

I may have missed this on the episode, but is The Void open to the public?
Nevermind… I just got to the part of the podcast that you discuss this.
I’ve only tried the HTC Vive and it was pretty amazing. I was completely immersed and yes, it has its limitations and it’s still a very cumbersome and expensive setup, but for what it tries to accomplish, I think it does so rather successfully.
Now, after listening to this episode, I’m very curious to try what sounds like a much more intense experience. You guys sounded like you were having the time of your lives and I was super jealous, not gonna lie. I wish The Void great success, so they expand to closer territories.
And Station! and Mattroid, congratulations on the chibi kaiju. I’m sure you’ll raise him/her/it well. And by well I mean you’ll make him one of ours.
Have you guys had any experience with at-home VR? I know you briefly mentioned the words “at-home VR” early on, but was just wondering how The Void compares.
i see people trying it out all the time so i finally did myself and it was pretty cool. i dont think its what the void probably is but it was still surprising and fun.
