Each episode we look at a science fiction theme or franchise and take the discussion where no show has gone before.

For this episode, we invited Sci-Fi fanatic and professional photographer Ryan Welling to join us in discussing the 25 coolest weapons found in Sci-Fi movies. What do you think about the list? Let us know in the comments section.

  1. What about the Point of View gun from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy?! That’s my favorite.
And in response to the often stated point on the episode: “Every tool is a weapon, if you hold it right.”

    • The ‘Point of View Gun’… how could we have forgotten that?

That is definitely in my top three, but I don’t remember what they are right now so I don’t know which one it replaces.

And how about “Every weapon can be used as a tool, for good or ill, depending on how you use it.”

  2. I just realized (listening to this episode) that I said “you can’t trust anything in front of a pipe organ”.

I honestly don’t remember saying that.
And I’m sure there are millions-plus religious people who might strongly disagree, but I think there is still some truth in my statement.

I think I’m going to ask my wife to have that quote written on my headstone.
